Twitter App Gets a Facelift

Twitter has overhauled their mobile app, giving users a lighter-weight, faster client that looks and feels more like twitter.com. The mobile engineering team at Twitter spent over two months designing, developing, and testing the new interface.  The mobile app now has the same look and feel as the new version of Twitter that was launched last year.  New changes also include:

  • Support more than 13 different browsers
  • Minimize page sizes for slower networks
  • Optimize for browsers with javascript turned off
  • Pages that were up to 63% smaller than those in the old mobile.twitter.com
