Facebook has rolled out a new version of the social network's app that works with poor connectivity. Facebook Lite is built for areas that have slower networks and are unable to support all the functionality found in the Facebook app.
The new version of the app uses less data than the regular Facebook app and is quick to load. The app includes just the core features - status updates, photos and notifications - so it can function with less data.
Facebook Lite is currently being rolled out in Asia and will be available in parts of Latin America, Africa and Europe in the coming weeks.
