It's no secret that people like to express their opinion on Twitter. The social network has become the place to share their good, their bad, their ugly - and their political views. Voters, politicians and government officials use Twitter to communicate, so it comes at no surprise that Twitter has made it easy for users to donate to a US candidate through a tweet.
The Twitter blog explains that this is the "fastest, easiest way to make an online donation, and the most effective way for campaigns to execute tailored digital fundraising, in real time."
So how does it work? When you see a Tweet containing a candidate's $Cashtag and hit the "contribute" button, the Tweet will enable you to select a donation amount and add your payment info.
Will you use this feature to support your favorite causes and candidates for the 2016 election season?
